48 Hours in Hong Kong

The most obvious question for any traveler to Hong Kong is whether it is a city or a country. Hong Kong was a British colony until it was handed over to China as a Sovereign Administrated Region. Hong Kong is not a country but, in several aspects, it is independent of direct any Chinese control. It has her own passport, immigration channel, own currency and own legal system. However, the Chinese government appoints Chief Executive for Hong Kong and Chinese flag flies over government building of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is a financial global hub famous for its skyscrapers al around. Several hot spots famous for its tourism industry attract millions of visitors from around the globe. Over 60 million visitors land in Hong Kong every year. The total population of Hong Kong is just 8 million. Hong Kong is famous for its nightlife, cruises, and Disneyland. Visitors arriving at Hong Kong on 48 hours in Hong Kong tour package can enjoy almost every place worth seeing. The city is small and has excellent transportation facilities makes its life full of hustle and bustle. In 2 day-tourist packages, we can go around most of the hot spots for visitors. 1. Hong Kong Disneyland at Lantau Island.  Hong Kong Disneyland is constructed on the reclaimed land of Lantau land in Penny’s Bay. Disneyland Hong Kong theme park is the biggest theme park in Hong Kong. The individual tickets for the park are between HK$50-100 which can be booked online at a varying discount depending on the season. The Disneyland is spread over 123 hectares of Lantau island.  

Hing Kong Disneyland is the worlds 13th largest theme park which hosts about 8 million visitors every year. The park started its operation on 12 Sep 2005.  There are various means to reach Lantau Island like by Ngong Ping Cable Car. The ferry is also operated for the tourist.

2. Causeway Bay. When you are visiting Hong Kong for the first time, it is better to visit the nearest place called Causeway Bay. It is a shopping street lane around Causeway Bay. The streets are busy day and night with lighting and skyscrapers all around, famous for hopping of Chinese products. The adjacent areas of Jadines’s Crescent are also famous for its shopping streets. The most comfortable place for new visitors to aquatint themselves with the local markets is the Causeway Bay.

3. The Peak.  The Peak Hong Kong is at 552 meters high from where you can have an amazing panorama tic view of the entire city. So, you must carry your camera along with you to capture the opportunity. You can reach the spots either by a tram or by your walking efforts. The full view of the harbor and all the islands around the location is visible. A must-visit place for first-time visitors. This is open for visitors from 10 am to 11 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 11 pm on weekends.
